Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer (m/f) with a focus on Ruby on Rails to strengthen our backend team and further develop our sophisticated applications. You are proficient in Ruby on Rails and SQL and are familiar with the RSpec testing framework. Linux, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Git are part of your toolbox, and you can effectively use these technologies in daily development.

Experience with Hitachi storage systems is a welcome bonus. Ideally, terms like CCI, Raidcom, HORCM, and GAD are not foreign to you.

Your Tasks

Backend Development:
You develop and maintain a powerful application for managing modern Hitachi storage systems with a focus on the backend. You work on implementing and optimizing functionalities in Ruby on Rails.
Test Development:
You develop automated tests in RSpec and ensure that our software solutions remain stable and error-free in the long term.
Technical Specifications and Project Plans:
You create and maintain technical specifications and project plans to clearly define the project's goals and requirements and ensure that development progresses efficiently.
Software Solutions with Highest Quality Standards:
You develop intuitive software solutions considering the highest quality standards and best practices, ensuring high scalability and maintainability of the applications.
Teamwork and Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
You work closely with design, marketing, and sales to ensure that all requirements and goals are correctly implemented at the technical level. Your communication ensures that all stakeholders are informed and expectations are clear.
Code Reviews and Best Practices:
You conduct code reviews and ensure that the code adheres to coding standards and best practices. You contribute to continuously improving code quality.
3rd Level Support:
You take responsibility for 3rd level support and handle complex technical inquiries or problems escalated from other support levels.
Documentation:
You document all development processes and results precisely and comprehensibly. Your documentation serves not only for traceability but also as a basis for future developments.

Your Qualifications

Software Development Experience:
You have solid experience in software development with Ruby and SQL and are proficient in the Ruby on Rails framework. Ideally, you are familiar with the RSpec testing framework.
Technology Stack:
You have extensive experience with Linux, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Git and can effectively use these technologies in daily development.
Experience with Hitachi Storage Systems:
Ideally, you already have experience with Hitachi storage systems, and terms like CCI, Raidcom, HORCM, and GAD are not unfamiliar to you.
Agile Methods:
You are familiar with agile development processes and methods (such as Kanban) and have experience working in agile teams.
Troubleshooting:
You have a strong ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges and bring creative ideas for optimizing software solutions.
Communication:
You have good communication skills and can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Team Player:
You enjoy working in a team and actively contribute to a positive and productive team dynamic.
Personal Responsibility:
You have an independent work style and the ability to lead projects responsibly and successfully complete them.
Willingness to Learn:
